Starting Your Real Estate Career

Now that you have your Real Estate license, you're ready to get your career started!

Remember, you must complete 25-hours of State approved Post-Licensing Education in your first year. At ERA Foster & Bond, Post- License Education is included at no additional cost and our Broker personally teaches the course. It's a solid foundation for the rest of your real estate career.

Beginning a real estate business is exciting and all things considered, an affordable business to start. Your cost will vary depending on factors such as your MLS, the Board you may join, and most especially, the Broker with whom you affiliate. What some new agents don't realize (and some agents never do) is that you are running a business and you must treat it as such.

 

When running your business:

• Clients' interests come first.
• There are three things you must do daily. Make sure you do them!
• Spend time every workday in your market.
• Find a business Coach or Mentor that can help keep you motivated.
• Have a schedule and spend major time on major things.
• READ!
• You work to enjoy your life, not the other way around.
